Hong Kong’s Tiger Group has created another entry in the list of unusual ships trying to cash in on the booming container market.
Consultancy Alphaliner reports that the shipowner’s multipurpose (MPP) LNG-tank carrier Tiger Longkou (built 2022) has won a charter to carry boxes for SITC of China.
The gas carrier is effectively a deck ship with a container capacity of 1,480 teu.
