Investment funds Avelios Alternative Assets and Crestline Investors have moved into container shipping.
The UK and US-based funds have emerged as having purchased two scrubber-fitted feeder container vessels sold recently by UK shipping fund Tufton Oceanic Assets.
The 2,490-teu Cindy (ex-ER Camilla, built 2004) and Elizabeth (ex ER Elena, built 2003) were part of a portfolio of ships sold by Tufton since the start of the year.
