Container shipping specialist FA Vinnen & Co is ready to expand its shipowning base.
The Bremen-based owner has teamed with an equity partner from Germany and is scouting for secondhand acquisitions.
“For the time being we won’t look at newbuildings, we’ll look at secondhand,” managing partner Michael Vinnen said.
While the company would eventually look towards the newbuilding market, he said, now is not the time.
