Euroseas is four vessels from four when it comes to finding higher rates on prolonged fixtures.
The Aristides Pittas-led, Athens-based owner of 14 boxships has extended a charter on the 4,253-teu Synergy Antwerp (built 2008) by at least 32 months at $18,000 per day starting on 1 January.
The new contract, which can go to 35 months as the current deal still has three months left, continued a fixture that was paying $8,000 per day.
