Euroseas has extended the charter of a feeder containership and found a new fixture for an intermediate boxship at twice the prior rates in a market that has been red hot for months.
The Aristides Pittas-led owner of nine feeder vessels and five intermediate boxships has fixed out 3,091-teu EM Kea (built 2007) at $22,000 per day for 25 months.
