Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has doubled its order for LNG-fuelled pure car/truck carrier (PCTC) newbuildings to up to 12 units, bringing its total potential spend to more than $1bn.
The Idan Ofer-controlled company has been encouraged by the recent charter of its 4,092-ceu Lake Como (built 2009) for $30,000 per day — a level that has not been seen for many years.
