Greece’s Costamare has attained the highest demolition price achieved by a conventional ship since late 2014.
The 3,840-teu MSC Koroni (built 1998) has been sold for scrap to Indian buyers at $502 per ldt, several brokers reported this week.
Cash buyer GMS described the figure as "incredible" after breaking the coveted $500 per ldt barrier.
