Scam artists are increasingly targeting buyers of used shipping containers and an established seller has joined the UK’s reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime to try to prevent fraudulent sales.
Scammers are taking advantage of people using platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree, and advertising containers for around £1,750 ($2,281) — a level that is way under the current market price for a container.
