Arne Blystad's Songa Container has booked a massive profit on the sale of a seven-year-old post-panamax.
The Oslo-listed shipowner's successful asset play comes as buoyant boxship markets propel secondhand values.
The 4,957-teu Songa Toscana (built 2013) has gone for $42.3m, the company said. VesselsValue assesses it as worth $32.7m.
The ship will be delivered to its new owner at the end of its current charter to TS Lines of Taiwan, which is scheduled to complete at the end of the first quarter.
