The US has indicated a potential dilution of proposals to slap extra port fees on Chinese-built or owned ships.
US trade representative Jamieson Greer told a Senate finance committee hearing on Tuesday that not all of the agency’s measures will be implemented.
He also said the proposals may not be cumulative, which would lower the maximum possible fee of $3.5m
