Newcomer Hede (Hongkong) International Shipping continues to expand its deepsea container shipping fleet with a benchmark charter for its transpacific service.
The 2,741-teu Pona (built 2007) has been taken for a “remarkable” period of three-and-a-half years, say several broking sources.
That is thought to be the longest charter for this type of vessel this year.
