Container rates are rising as liner shipping companies prepare to impose surcharges ahead of another possible port strike on the US East Coast.
The benchmark Freightos Baltic Index (FBX) hit $3,840 per 40-foot equivalent unit (feu) on 24 December as it continued its three-month ascent.
