Feeder shipping offers a much higher return than investment in large container ships, according to a report.
Smaller feeder vessels of less than 3,000 teu are earning a return on assets (ROA) of 17% to 23%.
That outstrips returns of between 7% and 12% for vessels up to 24,000 teu, designed for longer routes such as Asia-Europe and Asia-North America.
