Evergreen Marine Corp has sold a 28-year-old container vessel for a “remarkable” price of around $30m.
The Taiwanese owner sold the 5,500-teu Ever United (built 1996) with charter-free delivery later this month.
According to sale-and-purchase sources, the vessel received multiple bids from potential buyers willing to pay nearly the same price.
