Boxships remain in the doldrums with spot freight rates unable to curtail their descent, despite a more robust time-charter market.
The benchmark Freightos Baltic Index (FBX) slipped to 2,071 points on 21 March, its lowest since December 2023.
The index also saw a weekly slide of 4% and a monthly drop of 28%, as soft seasonal demand remains the key issue.
