French container line CMA CGM has revised its guidance on steering after a collision with a navigational beacon in Australia.
Crew error contributed to an incident involving the 5,700-teu CMA CGM Puccini (built 2004) in the Yarra River in May 2023, an Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) accident report said.
Investigators said “ambiguous procedures” were identified in the probe.
