Irish Sea specialist Seatruck Ferries is moving two ro-ros to boost capacity by 30% between Warrenpoint and Heysham.
Two larger freight vessels it already operates will shift to the route later in the summer, the Clipper Group company said.
This is in direct response to growing demand for unaccompanied trailer space and enables the firm to carry 30,000 additional trailers annually on the key crossing.
