Chandris (Hellas) has shot down rumours it is selling one of its tankers at a punchy price.
Chatter among shipbrokers is of a $25m sale of the 115,800-dwy Aegea (built 2009).
John Skordias, managing director of Chandris, vehemently denies any deal is on the cards.
He brands talk around the sale "unsubstantiated and a complete falsehood".
The shipowner has a fleet of 27 ships on the water, spanning the tanker, dry bulk and LNG sectors.
