Celsius Shipping has purchased an 11-year-old stainless steel chemical tanker from MOL but it is denying rumours linking it with the addition of two products tankers from Cido Shipping.
Sources say the company has paid $15m to $15.3m for the 20,800-dwt Spruce Galaxy (built 2006), a Shin Kurushima-built vessel.
Brokers describe the price as strong but add that the ship is built to high specifications with 22 segregations and a nitrogen generator.
