Firefighters have been tackling a blaze on an elderly bulker off Italy.
Venezia Today reported that the 8,900-dwt Hala B (built 1985) alerted authorities at 6pm local time on Tuesday, when it was three miles off Chioggia.
None of the timber carrier's crew were reported to be injured.
Fire brigade vehicles, tugs and divers were sent to the site.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
