UK Army head urges retaliation against Mercer Street tanker attack

Iran has made a "deadly mistake" in attacking a tanker in the Middle East and Britain should retaliate, the head of the UK Army has said.

A Romanian master and a British national employed as a vessel security guard were killed in the suspected drone attack on Zodiac Maritime's 49,992-dwt product tanker Mercer Street (built 2013) off the coast of Oman on 29 July.
