A Torm product tanker developed a heavy list after taking on water in Taiwan but has now been righted.
The Kaohsiung Harbour Bureau said the 75,000-dwt Torm Emilie (built 2004) hit a breakwater at the port, breaching its hull, on 1 February.
No pollution has been reported and there is little prospect of any cargo or bunkers escaping, the bureau added on Friday.
