A storm off Taiwan has forced three more vessels ashore.

Five ships were grounded off Kaohsiung on Thursday and now the typhoon has claimed more victims, according to the country's Maritime and Ports Bureau.

The 404-teu containership Jin Hua (built 1997), operated by Kimure Shipping of China, got stuck north of the port, while the 1,400-dwt bulker Unlimited 2 (built 1986) grounded halfway between Kaohsiung and Tainan.
