In what increasingly looks like a concerted Russian effort to crack down on Ukraine’s seaborne trade, Kyiv authorities reported a second missile strike within 48 hours on a cargo ship moored at a port in the Greater Odesa region.
The attack late on Monday against the 5,800-dwt Optima (built 2008) left one Ukrainian port worker dead and up to five seafarers injured.
