A discarded plastic wrapper brought an Indian ro-pax to a halt after it was sucked into a cooling pipe.
The Indian Express reported that the waste blocked the pipe, forcing the engines to shut down on the 6,500-gt Voyage Symphony (built 2015), which was en route in the Gulf of Khambhat on 21 November, with 400 passengers on board.
The ship needed a tow and is now being repaired.
