Thai shipowner SC Group says an officer’s negligence caused its LPG carrier to run aground on rocks.
The 3,300-cbm NP Bangpakong (built 1991) got stuck on Tuesday at Koh Larn island on the Pattaya coast, local media reported.
Video footage showed the ship appeared to have ploughed into the shore head-on.
