The head of the Nigerian Navy has admitted personnel within his ranks are aiding with oil theft, at one point a driver of piracy in the increasingly dangerous region.
The chief of naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, said some personnel are still colluding with criminals, despite steps Nigeria has taken to fight the practice of stealing oil, according to local media reports.
