A fire that erupted more than a week ago on board a Hoegh Autoliners car carrier off Jacksonville, Florida has been put out, according to local fire department officials.
The 4,900-ceu Hoegh Xiamen (built 2012) caught fire on the seventh deck on the afternoon of 4 June as a result of an explosion that occurred soon after taking on about 2,000 used vehicles at Blount Point Marine Terminal.
