An NSC Schifffahrtsgesellschaft containership rescued a 62-year old yachtsman who was reported as missing at sea off Florida last Saturday, according to the US Coast Guard.
The crew of the 2,872-teu Angeles (built 2010) spotted US citizen Stuart Bee clinging to the partially sunken remains of his yacht Stingray some 86 miles off of Cape Canaveral on Sunday morning.
Bee departed Cape Marina at Port Canaveral on Friday and was reported missing the following morning by a marina member who told coast guard officials that Bee typically did not stay out overnight on his boat.
