A Panama-flag general cargoship sank near Odessa on Thursday — in another attack on commercial shipping during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The 2,086-dwt Helt (built 1985) could have struck a mine before sinking, Estonia ship manager Vista Shipping Agency told Reuters.
“The vessel has finally sunk,” Vista managing director Capt Igor Ilves said.
