The Italian Coast Guard rescued all crew members from a Nuova Naviservice general cargoship that ran aground of south-western Sardinia on Saturday night.
The 8,000-dwt CDRY Blue (built 2010) was driven to shore on the Italian island by a storm while on a voyage from Cagliari to Alicante in Spain with a cargo of coffee.
Italian news reports indicated that the ship was seeking shelter from the storm when it was driven onto the rocky shoreline.
