The crew of a small tanker has been rescued off Malaysia after their vessel capsized and sank on Wednesday.

The Johor-Bahru division of the Malaysia Maritime Rescue Sub Centre (MRSC) said the 500-dwt Wan Da (built 1989) was lost near Tanjung Penyusop.

The Manifold Times cited MRSC as saying it was notified of the incident by a shipping and forwarding company that asked it to carry out salvaging works on the vessel.
