Baltic cable was not cut on purpose, insists Navibulgar

Bulgarian bulker owner Navibulgar has admitted that one of its ships may have cut an undersea cable in the Baltic Sea over the weekend, but dismissed sabotage claims.

Swedish authorities seized the 32,200-dwt Vezhen (built 2022) late on Sunday, on suspicion that it was involved in “gross sabotage” following the damage of an undersea communications cable off the country’s coast.
