The fully laden 16,600-dwt bulk carrier Ormi (built 2006) has broken down while fully laden with a cargo of soybeans off the island of Karpahos, Greece.
It is understood the vessel is now taking shelter from winds at times as strong as beaufort seven. The Med Tugs salvage tug Karapiperis 18 was sent out from the island of Mykanos and is now assisting the vessel.
