Two seafarers have died on a woodchip carrier in Indonesia.

Police said the cause was suspected to be inhalation of toxic fumes.

The 50,000-dwt Green World (built 1996) was docked at Merak on Friday.

Banten Port regional police chief AKP Zamrul confirmed the incident to Banten News.

He added the men were believed to have opened a cargo hatch and were overcome by fumes.
