China's Yangzijiang Group has won Navibulgar's order for up to six new handymaxes.
Vessel designer Bluetech revealed the contract and said the 45,000-dwt ships will be based on its Bluetech 42 blueprint.
The Bulgarian shipowner had said it was ordering four firm bulkers, with two options, at a top Chinese yard in August.
Brokers had earlier suggested Chengxi Shipyard had bagged the order.
