Last month's freezing temperatures on the northern high seas brought the heat to spot rates for ice-class bulkers.
Last month, Golden Ocean Group earned as high as $70,000 per day on one for a spot deal that lasted more than 30 days.
"We fixed a handful of vessels at lucrative levels, culminating with the $70,000-per-day fixture," chief executive Ulrik Andersen told TradeWinds.
