Shipping giant China Cosco Shipping Corp has named Wan Min as the new chairman and party secretary of the group company replacing Xu Lirong.
Xu, who is 64, was widely believed to have retired as the standard retirement age for state-owned companies is 60.
Born in 1964, Wan graduated and holds a MBA from Shanghai Maritime University. He started his shipping career 31 years ago at Shanghai Cosco International Freight and was a former president of Cosco America.
