Bangladeshi ship breaker PHP Family confirms it will demolish the Vale VLOC the 233,000-dwt Ore Vitoria (built 1989).
The sale to PHP could be significant as it is the first major demolition sale to the Bangladeshi yard since it was given a statement of compliance with the Hong Kong Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships by Italian classification society RINA.
