Greek shipowner Unisea is believed to have moved into the capesize market with the purchase of a second-hand vessel from a Japanese company.
If confirmed, the acquisition would add a third string to Adam Lemos’ bulker bow.
Shipbrokers say Unisea has bought the 182,000-dwt Frontier Coronet (built 2011) from Fukujin Shipping of Japan for $29m.
