Low-profile UK shipowner Union Maritime now controls 11 bulkers alongside its tanker fleet after a rapid expansion during the pandemic.
The company reveals in accounts filed at Companies House that it has taken the bulk carriers under management after they were "acquired under a new dry cargo venture launched by [an] affiliated bulker arm at a low entry point in the dry cargo cycle".
