Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding claims to have pushed the boundaries of ultramax bulk carriers and has come up with the largest design yet in the sector.
The company has announced details of its new Tess66 Aeroline design, which at 66,200 dwt, is 200 dwt larger than any existing ultramax bulker under construction.
With an 81,500-cbm total loading capacity, Tsuneishi said the design is “the largest in the ultramax category”.
