Greek shipowner Thanassis Martinos is understood to have snapped up a supramax bulker from Norden, ending a deal drought extending for around 10 months.
Martinos company Eastern Mediterranean Maritime is tipped to have purchased the 57,000-dwt Nord Manatee (built 2010) from the Copenhagen-listed firm.
Martinos has returned to the market for the first time since last October, at a time when bulker transactions are on the rise amid an upturn in the freight market this summer.
