Greek owner Target Marine is pouring cold water on market reports that it is buying a kamsarmax newbuilding under construction at Japan’s Tsuneishi Fukuyama yard.
Some brokers had named Target Marine as the buyer of the 81,000-dwt Hull No 1577, which is scheduled for delivery in 2018.
The vessel is reportedly changing hands for about $28.5m in a deal that is still on subjects.
