Taipei-based bulker owner Taiwan Navigation has ordered a pair of ultramax bulk carriers as part of a fleet renewal drive.
The company has struck a deal with Japan’s Oshima Shipbuilding for the two 64,000-dwt bulk carriers.
A Taiwan Navigation official confirmed the order, telling TradeWinds that the newbuildings formed part of its fleet renewal programme.
