Ta-Ho Maritime is the latest shipping company in Taiwan to have turned to Chinese shipyards for newbuildings.
The shipping arm of Taiwan Cement Corporation, Ta-Ho has broken with its tradition of ordering newbuildings at Japanese shipyards and has placed a pair of ultramax bulkers at Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment.
The two 63,500-dwt marks Ta-Ho’s entry into the ultramax sector.
