Newcomer S’hail Shipping and Maritime Services has bought its second bulker as it targets further expansion.
The Qatar start-up said a deal has been signed for an unnamed 75,323-dwt vessel.
It acquired its first ship, the 52,000-dwt geared bulker Prabhu Daya (built 2001), now renamed S’hail Al Ruwais, from Tolani in March.
Mohamed Khalifa al-Sada, S’hail's chairman and managing director, told the Gulf Times: “Such gearless panamax vessels with higher cargo carrying capacity will be to the benefit of our local customers.
