Seanergy Maritime has chartered a newcastlemax bulker for a year as it expects China’s imports and exports, global infrastructure projects and tight supply to fuel demand for tonnage.

The New York-listed owner of 16 capesize bulkers signed a 12-month bareboat charter agreement with an undisclosed Japanese shipowner for a 207,855-dwt newcastlemax (built 2011).
