Greek shipowner Vassilis Bacolitsas has ended a four-year absence from the secondhand market with a splash, reportedly buying three suezmaxes and a modern dry bulk kamsarmax.
London brokers have linked Bacolitsas company Sea Pioneer Shipping to a $40m deal to buy two suezmaxes from German KG (limited partnership) owners – the 159,400-dwt Cape Baxley (built 2003) and Cape Bellavista (built 2002).
