Safe Bulkers, perhaps the only Greek company to have inked a dry bulk newbuilding this year, said on Thursday it plans to book more — but only at a very slow pace and in ways that will not eat into its cash pile.
Falling newbuilding prices encouraged the company last month to place its first newbuilding order in six years - an 82,000-dwt kamsarmax to be built at an undisclosed Japanese yard.
